Trump debating on TV and GB on TV. They both lost credibility.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses view the governing body differently since seeing them on the TV?
by jambon1 ini think this may be a bigger issue for the society than we realise.. when you consider that witnesses have now had well over a year of regularly seeing their 'channel to god' with their own eyes, what do you think they're thinking?.
i'm going to put this as respectfully as i can; these men are clearly a bunch of utter clowns who are laughably inadequate to present a tv show, but also, they are now ridiculously discredited due to the absolute shite that they've spoken in these laughable productions.. consider things from a jw's perspective; tony morris, stephen lett & geoffrey jackson are 'the channel' that makes their religion 'special'.
these men are the channel god is using to lead his people in the modern day.

Anybody else having trouble walking away?
by JW-Matrix inok...so i'm a 19 year old fifth generation jw.
mentality, i've been out of the "truth" since i was 16(woke up after i was baptized ironically), but on the outside i'm a model jw.

Stop the bleeding, you are 19 and some day you will get married. Do you really want your kids raised in that organization. Make a stand and look to the future, it has turned out well for many here..There is no easy way to leave, especially in your case (5th generation)...It will be difficult in your situation I must say, but isn't happiness the most important thing in life. And welcome!!!!

Did Jesus have money??Luke8:1-3 Money was given to him by many people because, the crowds would give money if they enjoy a ministers message (ok that may be a problem). Yes several wealthy supporters also gave as well (that may be another problem). Jesus spoke against the love of money but he didn't turn it down. VI: a single elder is not a bad idea....

What happens to the elders?
by Worldling9 inwith so many khs closing and congos consolidating, what happens to the elders?
clearly there won't be a place for all of them.
would the older ones be the first to go, losing their long held positions of 'power'?.

My sister Church Sunday celebrated older members day, seven 92 and older. One lady has severed 75 years as a usher and still seating folks. There was a topic here"they look so old", yes it's stressful being a JW. Making the comparison with older members in my sister church and older JW's, the folks in my sister church seems to be more energetic and look a lot younger. Older members (JW's) are pushed aside when they are not serviceable....

Selloff Hinted At Assembly
by thedepressedsoul inthe last talk at the assembly made an interesting statement, "we can show faith by following direction if we're asked to move to another kingdom hall for better use of dedicated christian funds".
this statement has everyone talking.
i spoke to multiple individuals and they heard the same thing at different assembly's.. i know they have been "evaluating" all kingdom halls the last year or two.

The Debate Is Over...
by JW_Rogue infor years theologians and historians have researched who the historical person known as jesus was and how much of the biblical account could be verified.
countless books have been written going into great detail.
this has been a controversial subject with some even claiming that jesus never existed.

I mention this before, it would be the same feeling if my mom and dad told me I was adopted after 40 years,
my brothers and sisters are not my brothers and sisters. We have no idea who your folks are, now go out and find out who you are.

Lets be honest, where do they get their information for their articles? From other religious leaders, it's not like they have a research team digging in the ruins of Egypt, WT scholars researching ancient scrolls. These bozos get their information the same as us, the internet and not from the man above. Talking about a time machine in another topic, if we could go back and ask Jesus, "do you have any idea how famous you are"? Jesus"you shitting me, thats' my picture, I never did that the man was sick not dead".
